No Excuses

Yes, I am a terrible blogger! I won't make up any excuses. I do have quite a bit to post to catch up on what we've been doing the past couple of months, so please be patient. (Ha, ha! I'm sure you've all given up on me and blogging!)

Colby and I were able to take our annual vacation-- just the two of us! We decided to head to Las Vegas where Colby would attend a continuing education seminar and I would relax and scrapbook! Colby was glad to get most of his CE credits out of the way and I did actually get some pages scrapbooked! We were also able to see some sights and reach our quota for the year of eating at a buffet! We took a romantic gondola ride and saw Phantom of the Opera! It was nice to get away from the kids for a few days, too! Thanks mom and dad for babysitting!

Wacky Weather

Well, just when Mother Nature realized it was spring and started warming up, she decided to give us one last good snow storm!  (At least we think it's the last one!)  We got dumped with snow on Wednesday.  Austin loved it!  It was actually the only snow storm he really got to play in this year.  I had just put his hat and gloves away, too, so I had to go fish them out again!  I bundled both kids up and tried to take them both on the sled, but Austin didn't quite understand that he needed to hold on to Makenna the whole time!  So, I trudged through the snow in our backyard holding Makenna and pulling Austin on the sled.  I'm sure our neighbors get a good laugh watching me get a good workout!  When Colby got home from work, he and Austin went out and built a snowman!  They also had a snowball fight (well, kind of)!  Austin just laughed the entire time!  He'd try to throw a snowball at Colby, but he was laughing so hard it wouldn't get very far!  We actually got a phone call from our sweet neighbors across the street saying they loved it!  It was a fun day... and now our lawn is finally looking green!

Happy Easter!

Here are some pics from this past week.  The kids and I hit the Easter "EGG"-stravaganza at the library and an egg hunt on Saturday morning (we actually got there on time this year!).  Easter Sunday was pretty laid back, except for our rush to church.  My sweet hubby ended up getting the kids all ready because I had to be there early for choir practice.  He's the best!
